Yes, it is easy for me to point out the right and the wrong…
But what is the correct thought process?
How do I view the world correctly?
Here at CashFlow Tactics we like to imagine a future version of ourselves.
So I want you to think about your future self 10 years from now.
What is their job, their clothes, their family, their hobbies?
Get a really clear picture of who you want to be.
As detailed as you can…
Now I want you to keep that version of yourself in mind…
But, I tell you that I can predict the future (and for some reason you believe me).
And I tell you that you will not make it another 10 years, but you will make it another 5 years guaranteed.
Now imagine yourself in 5 years knowing you will not make it to 10 years.
How did it change?
What are you doing in 5 years?
What are you spending your time doing?
What about your clothes, job, career, hobbies?
How did these change?
The version of yourself 10 years from now expecting to live another 40 years is way different than the version of yourself 5 years from now knowing you will die soon.
See, when posed with the thought of death, we identify our biggest priorities, but when given longevity we push off the things that matter most.
In order to live an authentic and free life, you have to have both of these thoughts in mind.
But how different would those thoughts be if you were financially free?
How much more authentic would your time with your family be? Or your time working? Or how you view the future?
Taking on a new framework and state of mind is the only true way to gain a healthy view of the future.
